Attractions

There are a multitude of attractions and activities in and around Ocean City Maryland, so easy to get to in town by our local transit system or by car. Here are some suggestions.

Amusements

Whether you have kids or you’re just a kid at heart, there’s no better place for fun, family-friendly activities than Ocean City, Maryland. With a variety of amusements, arcades and entertainment options for all ages. Check out Trimper’s or Jolly Rogers rides. For the speedsters there is Baja Amusements and Grand Prix Amusements. For adult fun, there is plenty of live music in Ocean City, Maryland’s bars and nightclubs. 

Shopping

There are 3 Miles of shops on the Ocean City Boardwalk-everything from t-Shirts to beach toys, to fine jewelry. Most stores have been part of the Ocean City scene for decades.  But if that isn’t enough drive over the inlet bridge and discover the Tanger Outlets for tons of bargains. Go a little further into the town of Berlin and discover the Cutest Little Town in The USA and all of its quaint specialty and antique shops. 

Eating Out

 USA Today named OC Boarwalk foods among  the nation’s best: pizza and pit beef; burgers and wraps; hot, fresh french fries and overstuffed sandwiches. Then there is our world-famous salt water taffy and sweet fudge for dessert. But when you want a sit-down dinner you can get anything from hot and spicy Maryland steamed crabs, to thick, sizzling steaks, seafood caught just offshore to crisp, juicy Eastern Shore fried chicken.  From little bistros and brew pubs to elegant dining, you ‘ll find it all. 

Water Sports

Ocean City, Maryland has lots of options from the bay to the ocean.! There are great sightseeing tours available that allow you to explore the ecosystem of the ocean and bay via boats, kayaks and catamarans.Or,  on your own, you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and boats, as well.Want something more thrilling, there are jet ski rentals windsurfing, kiteboarding and more. Ocean City, Maryland offers some of the best surfing in the mid-Atlantic!

Museums

Had too much sun or the sun isn’t cooperating? Check out Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum or the O.C. Lifesaving Museum. There are also many art and cultural museums in town and in surrounding areas. Visit the Ward Museum for Waterfowl Art in Salisbury  or Furnactown Heritage Museum in Snow Hill. Into Science,  Visit Wallops Island Flight Center or the Delmarva Discovery Center and Museum . Take a day trip to St. Michaels which has over 5 museums.

Assateague

Assateague Island National Seashore  since the 1700s has been home to the famous wild ponies. It stands in its own category. Not only does it have great beaches, some that you can drive on with a permit but if you are here on the last Wednesday in July check out the annual Pony Roundup and auction. But there are also many  other  things to do on the island. There are ranger guided tours, kayaking and other nature related activities that are  fun for both kids and adults.
